On the last day of last term, we had a celebration. We celebrated 100 days of school and learning. We went to different classes. In A1, we made certificates. In A2, we made $100 notes with our pictures. In A5, we made bookmarks. In A6, we exercised for 15 minutes. In A7, we wrote about what we would do if we had $100 dollars and in A8, we made crowns. We also danced to music. Here are some photos from our exciting day.
We are a group of Year 2 children at Papatoetoe East Primary School based in Papatoetoe, Auckland. We will be learning, playing and having fun and we will be posting all this on our blog.

Making Wallets
This term, we have been learning about Communities. We talked about different groups we belong to. We had to make something to sell at our School Fair. A6, A7 and A8 decided to make Tetra Pak wallets to sell at our School Fair. Here is a video to show what we did.

On Monday, we went to Auckland Botanic Gardens. At the Gardens, we talked about the parts of a plant. We sorted fruits and vegetables in different groups like roots, stem, leaves, flowers, and seeds. Later, we planted bean seeds and cleaned our area. Here are the pictures from the day.
We would like to say a big thank you to the parent helpers who helped us on the day.
What was your best part about going to the Gardens?
