Welcome Henry

Today was Henry's first day at school. Welcome to Papatoetoe East School.

 

Blowing Bubbles

Last Friday for our language experience, we blew bubbles. The children had a great time and some of our bubbles went to Bubble World. Here is our video: 

Pirate Day

Last Friday, we had Pirate day. Everyone had a great day. We played Pirate games, iced biscuits and did Pirate Jump Jam. Here is a slideshow.

Camera Experience

After having a look at other classes using the school's new set of cameras, A2 children had a chance to have their first camera experience.
We talked about the rules and labelled some parts of the camera. The children then went around taking photos of each other and here is a collage of some of the photos they have taken.

If you meet a dragon....

We have been reading this big book called If you meet a dragon, and we have drawn a picture of a dragon using Kidpix and have thought of what we would do if we meet a dragon. Have a look and tell us what you would do if you meet a dragon.

Meet the children of A2

Rugby World Cup Day

Last Thursday we had Rugby World Cup day. The activities were organised by D1, D2 and D3 children. We had a great time learning new games. Here is a video of some of the games and children in action.

Growing Pet

The children in A2 have a growing pet in their class. We started of by putting the egg in the water and we have been watching it as it grows. By the end of the day, the egg started cracking. Here is a video about our experience.

Sandpit Play

This week, A2 had a chance to enjoy the new Sandpit. Here are some photos of what the children did in the sandpit.

Zoo Trip

Last Wednesday, A1, A2, A3, A4 and B1 went to the Auckland Zoo. Here is a video of all the animals we saw at the Zoo.

On Friday, we had Mask day. Some of the children brought a mask from home, while others made one at school. Here is a slide show of some of the children showing their masks.

On Monday 2nd May, Louise and Henry joined our class. They celebrated their birthday in the holidays.

Louise has an older sister Roanna in Ms Cossey's class.  

Henry likes to play with toys and play with Stu.
